Israeli-Palestinian Peace: Between the Inevitable and the Impossible
Israeli-Palestinian Peace:<br>Between the Inevitable and the ImpossibleKhalil Shikaki and Asher Arian / Mark Rosenblum, moderator

Will chaos and divisions within the Palestinian Authority lead to civil war? Or will Mahmoud Abbas restore order and offer a viable negotiating platform? How much can the Bush Administration help as it enters its final months? Two distinguished political scientists-one Israeli and one Palestinian-explore these questions and more.

Khalil Shikaki is director of the Palestine Center for Policy Survey Research. He is widely regarded as the premier Palestinian pollster. Asher Arian is a professor at the University of Haifa and former director of the National Security Policy and Public Opinion Project at Tel Aviv University. A well-known Israeli pollster, Arian is a senior fellow at the Israeli Democracy Institute. Professor Mark Rosenblum is an historian at Queens College, where he directs the Michael Harrington Center. He is the founder of Americans for Peace Now.
