Danny Rubinstein, Israel's longest serving West Bank correspondent, recently retired from Ha'aretz Daily after a long career as a senior commentator on Palestinian affairs. He is now a columnist for Yedioth Ahronoth's economic supplement, Kalkalist. Having covered the West Bank and Gaza since they fell under Israeli occupation in 1967, Rubinstein is one of the most trusted and respected experts worldwide on Israeli-Palestinian relations. He is the author of several books, among them People of Nowhere: The Palestinian Vision of Home, and The Mystery of Arafat, a biography of the Palestinian leader. Rubinstein, a native of Jerusalem, teaches at Hebrew University and at Ben Gurion University in the Negev. He is a frequent guest lecturer at American colleges.
