FENCE, WALL, BORDER: The First Phase will be a featured film at CINE-PEACE on Monday, September 22nd, in Los Angeles.

The Israeli daily newspaper YNET called the film "Documentary work at its best", which is an investigation into the political, ecological, and human rights aspects of the most debated barrier in the world today, as well as the role of the media, the propaganda war, and the follies on both sides.

Eli Cohen, acclaimed director of the films Summer of Aviya, Under the Domim Tree, Two Fingers from Sidon, and The Quarrel, followed the construction of the barrier over a three-year period.  Cohen states that he avoided "preaching" and approaced the subject with "layers of multi-points of view", which he still holds today.

In an interview with APN, Cohen said he was very pleased that the film was going to be shown at Cine-Peace and believes "people will hopefully learn something, but also feel something, and maybe laugh as well."
