Peace Now's Secretary General Yariv Oppenheimer characterized the new policy as both immoral and impractical.

APN President and CEO, Debra DeLee said: "Israeli leaders and the peace-seeking majority of Israel's public expect Americans to help turn the Annapolis summit into a success. We can all learn from the example set by Chairman Ackerman and Representative Boustany."

APN's campaign combines print ads in major publications, a letter-writing drive, opinion articles, and a new weekly electronic publication, Annapolis Countdown, which focuses on preparations for the U.S.-sponsored international conference.

Next month's meeting is a golden opportunity to harness regional and international players to the cause of Israeli-Palestinian peace and generate momentum toward substantial final-status negotiations.
